Annual Candlelight Home Tour

Since its inception in 2000, the Castroville Conservation Society has hosted an annual Candlelight Home Tour every December (except during 2000 and 2011), featuring historic homes and buildings within Castroville. ​ If you own a historic home in Castroville and would like to participate in the Candlelight Home Tour, please email us at [email protected].

2024 — 25th Anniversary

The 2024 Candlelight Home Tour was held on Saturday, December 7, and began at the Landmark Inn State Historic Site.
The weather was clear with a temperature range of 55° to 52° during the evening with a waxing crescent moon visible throughout the evening.

Purpose of Castroville Conservation Society

The purposes for which the corporation is formed are: to conduct any and all lawful business in the State of Texas, including, but not limited to, charitable, civic, and education business. More specifically, to preserve and to encourage the preservation of historic buildings, archeological sites, objects, places and customs relating to the architecture and history of Castroville, its natural beauty and all that is admirably distinctive to our area, and, by such physical and cultural preservation, to keep the unique history of Castroville legible and intact, to educate the public, especially the youth of today and tomorrow, with knowledge of the inherited regional values.
